Check out trailer for the film The Lottery, a documentary that follows four families in New York as they await the results of a lottery to get their kids into a very exclusive charter school.

The film, premiering across the country in select theatres on June 8 (National Education Day) is scored by TV on the Radio members Tunde Adebimpe and Gerald A Smith.

Adebimpe has been quoted, “The Lottery offers a portrait of our education system that a lot New Yorkers (including myself, prior to working on this project) are completely unaware of. It was a privilege to be invited to contribute to such a powerful and revealing film.”
