In honor of the most glorious day of the week, I thought it would be fun to share four of my favorite music videos of the past couple years that all prominently feature bright colors (and happen to be great songs as well).  I challenge you to watch any one of these and not feel five pounds lighter. Happy Friday from Tadpole Audio!

NewVillager “Lighthouse”

It’s no secret that I love this song, this band and this video.  I will take any excuse to share it again and again.

tUnE-yArDs “Bizness”

One of the most buzzed about bands and videos of the year, Merrill Garbus and company gives Neverland a modern day (and modern art) makeover.

Lisa Hannigan “Knots”

The fact that the adorable Irish lass went along with this makes her (and the song) that much sweeter.  Could you tell that each color of paint represents a different instrument in the song?

Locksley “The Whip”

Rowdy and irreverant, “The Whip” is a perfect pop rock party anthem with a clever video to boot.  Part of me wishes I could go to a party like this…the other part has an urge to take a shower.

In case you weren’t aware, the still above is from a brilliant Sony Bravia commercial in 2006. No matter how many times I watch it, it still amazes me:

And here is how they did it…from paint explosions, to special effects, to the music choice:
